Mentalist Terry Wenham is ready to amaze. You will not be watching magic tricks on September 28 at the Peacock. Terry says that it’s not about “I’m clever and I can fool you”. His goal is to ignite that same sense of wonderment and amazement that you felt so often as a child. You will be captivated, thrilled and mystified by the amazing things that you and Terry will do together. You will communicate with Terry, and between yourselves, not by using your voice but directly between your minds. You will experience a murder mystery, an 1850 spiritualist phenomenon, you will do what the FBI couldn’t and a whole bunch more.
Some of you experienced Terry’s fun talents in 2016 at the Peacock Gala. His mentalist skill was so great, many patrons requested that we invite him back. Join us in welcoming Terry back to our stage and come for an evening of fun and astonishment to be had by all. Terry says: “I have a big secret that I am asked about all of the time. It’s hard for me to talk about this, but here goes I AM NOT A PSYCHIC!!!!! But you will find that hard to believe because…. WE ARE GOING TO AMAZE OURSELVES “
Terry has recently been appointed to the Order of Merlin by the International Brotherhood of Magicians for his twenty five years of continuous membership, has twice served as President of the Georgia Magic Club, is a member of the Society of American Magicians and is an Associate of the Inner Circle of the world’s most prestigious magic organization, England’s Magic Circle.
Auditions are complete and the cast has been chosen for our final play of the year, Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. A mystery by Simon Stephens, based on the best-selling novel by Mark Haddon. Fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent and a mathematical genius but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life due to his autism spectrum disorder. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit. This leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever. Winner of 7 Oliver Awards: 5 Tony Awards including Best Play – 2015, 6 Drama Awards and 5 Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama League Award. The play shows October 11-13 and 18-20. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30pm and Sunday performances are at 2:30pm.
The Return, a popular Beatles tribute band, returns to the Peacock on November 2nd & 3rd. This group started in 1995 when 4 friends got together to play their favorite Beatles songs just for the fun of it. Twenty plus years later they are still playing together and have created the highest level of authenticity possible. From John Lennon’s on-stage gum chewing, to using exact replicas of the instruments, costumes and gear the Beatles used, they have not left any detail to chance. Tony Perkins of Good Morning America said, “They were great! Their energy and enthusiasm jumps off the stage. It was quite fun to watch them and imagine what it must have been like at an actual Beatle.”
On December 14th, Lisa Rock, A Carpenter’s Christmas, performs. You will be surprised in how much Lisa Rock sounds like Karen Carpenter. This show is not to be missed and will enhance your holiday experience this year. It’s a wonderful show.
